An offer-driven flyer campaign built to stimulate appetite and drive first-week traffic for a restaurant launch.

Restaurant Grand Opening – Promotional Flyer System — promotional flyer system by Lucky's Digitals

OVERVIEW

This project involved building a promotional flyer campaign for a local restaurant's grand opening, with the goal of creating a layout that could announce the launch, communicate an offer, and showcase the menu — all within a single glance. The system was designed to work equally hard in print and on social, since first-week traffic depends on both.

THE CHALLENGE

The flyer had to announce a grand opening clearly, foreground a limited-time discount, and still find room to showcase featured menu items and contact details, all without becoming visually cluttered. The core tension was balancing promotional urgency against the need to present the menu attractively — pushing the offer without burying the food.

RESEARCH & STRATEGY

Food marketing conventions point toward warm, appetite-stimulating color, oversized headline type, and clear discount badging, and the strategy followed that logic closely. A deep red and beige palette was chosen for warmth, paired with high-contrast typography for readability, a circular badge to carry the promotional callout, and a structured menu section with disciplined price alignment.

ART DIRECTION

The visual identity leans on a vintage-inspired textured background and warm gradients to suggest craft and appetite, with bold Grand Opening typography anchoring the top of the layout. Circular offer callouts and a clearly gridded menu section keep the promotional message and the product information separated but complementary, giving the piece a tone that reads as exciting, urgent, and unmistakably promotional.

EXECUTION

The campaign was built around a primary flyer layout, then adapted into an alternate vertical format, a printed stack mockup, a real-world hand-held application shot, and a social media version, each maintaining the same visual hierarchy so the promotion reads consistently regardless of where it's encountered. Food photography was placed deliberately to stimulate appetite and pull the eye through the layout.

OUTCOME

The finished flyer system is built to maximize local visibility and drive foot traffic during the critical first week of a launch, giving the restaurant a promotional tool that performs across street-level distribution and digital channels alike.
