OVERVIEW
This project involved designing a print brochure to present a university's academic program to prospective students and their families. The brief called for a document that could carry detailed program information, faculty credibility, and institutional tone within a single, well-paced printed piece.
THE CHALLENGE
The brochure needed to organize substantial academic content, program details, curriculum highlights, and institutional messaging, into a sequence that remained easy to navigate from cover to close. It also had to balance an authoritative, trustworthy institutional voice with a layout inviting enough to hold a prospective student's attention through every page.
RESEARCH & STRATEGY
The approach treated the brochure as a guided reading experience rather than a static document, prioritizing a clear content hierarchy so admissions information, program strengths, and institutional identity each had their own defined space. Editorial pacing was used to move readers logically from introduction to program detail to next steps.
ART DIRECTION
The visual direction favors a restrained, academic aesthetic: structured grids, confident typographic hierarchy, and generous margins that let text breathe across spreads. Institutional color and type were applied consistently throughout to reinforce credibility and give the piece a cohesive, considered feel from cover to back page.
EXECUTION
Layout began with the cover and core grid system, which was then extended consistently across interior spreads covering program details, curriculum structure, and institutional information. Typography and spacing were refined for print legibility, ensuring the brochure read cleanly both as a printed handout and in digital PDF form.
OUTCOME
The finished brochure gives the university a clear, credible print piece for presenting its academic program to prospective students. Its structured layout supports easy navigation while reinforcing the institution's editorial and academic tone throughout.
